Big Thirsty Aussies

Well we broke the long string of "W" campgrounds(Wattegans, Wapingo, Warrambungles, Warraba) and camped somewhere that started differently. The punishment for this was the renaming of the place as the "W"et campground. Although it did rain a lot of the weekend there was really only one really bad patch on Saturday morning. The rest of the time was great and I am sure that one day (long after We dry out sleeping bags, tents, tarps, picnic rugs etc...) we will look back and have a bit of a chuckle. Pebbly Beach was brilliant, we didnt get much of a swim due to the weather and the world record number of blue-bottles or Portugese Man-of-War unbelievably there were actually people in the water swimming with these. It was really neat to see the kangaroos on the beach, the forest coming all the way down to the shoreline,snake bay, different types of shells, the fire going, and so much more. ok... I know that there is a drought going on... and I know that it is needed... but I am sorry... I am OVER!!!! the rain. today at least was a bit nicer. We have decided to go camping a bit south of here this weekend(weather pending) as it is our last free weekend until , oh, maybe August.... Netball and Soccer season start in earnest the week after and there just wont be any more free time barring the school holidays which are generally usually spoken for (Easter at Joanns and July at Coff's). Not that I am complaining about the rain as it has still been beach weather most days and rain and thunder in the afternoon & evening times...... but my cukes and Zuchs seem to not like it as much as the rest of us. Anyhow, it is good to get wet and who knows how long it will last for (apparently El Nino is worn out), besides the tomatillos are loving it. School is going good had Sekaiyas first netball day on Sunday (usually they are on Saturdays but this was a carnival) and Tory is all signed up for soccer as well, and Autumn has begun. This is some of the fruits of our labour a nice stuffed zuchini, took up nearly the whole width of the oven. This was the beach on Sunday morning on my walk (this is why I try to always remember the camera....) The dark shot was first as the sun had not yet made the horizon completely.
