Big Thirsty Aussies

  Does the yellow skirted perfume girl look familiar to anybody else? A bit concerned that I bought a momento from my youth at an antique shop (I hold to my hope that this doesn't trigger another bout of mid-life crisis). Had a good Australia day on the farm at Aunty Jo's house. The girls watched the vet remove a portion of a cows eye and stitch up the old girl. Their general response was cooollll!!! This bodes well for the aspirations they have of becoming a vet(Kaiya) and a zoo keeper(Tory). So any ideas why the Broncs didn't show up for that last game? Mind you I was only hearing the game but it didn't sound very good. Sigh... next year? Cool one today it's only in the 80's. School starts again on Tuesday (pupil free day for teachers on the Monday). I guess this means that I actually have to start mowing and cleaning again (sob) and we were having so much fun too. I hate when school starts back up, the holidays are always that final day to short.... Oh well,...

Well, another weekend slips out of grasp.....to be remembered fondly until the next one takes it place. One more week of school holidays and a long weekend next weekend (Australia Day), then it gets back to the nitty gritty.... A fair bit of mowing to be done and a lot of house cleaning(yeah hoo). Our lives since we last posted has gone on much as usual. I think the comfortable mundanity(new word)of it is what makes it worth while. I will be tuned to the Bronco game to see how it all works out. My apologies for not ringing on TSH day, as it worked out I ended up with a gathering of my own happening here and all were happy to have a reason to open a bottle (I shared the holiday info with them) for the ole' girl. Anyhow... by the time the festivities ended it would have been an inconvenient time for you to recieve a call. The photo is not new but one we enjoyed. It was a columbine I bought that started out in the normal Colo colors... I was told that the blue are strictly hybrids her...

Thank goodness the bulk of the holidays end tonight at bedtime -the girls are still off school for 3 weeks yet but the adults can quit behaving like we are still 18 now. Looking forwards to a few months of sobriety before it all happens again. We may go back up the hill to Aunty Jo's house soon (the added attraction of the pool) as the beaches are still too crowded with the vacationers. The price we must pay for living in a coastal village...... I know we should be glad for the boost to the local economy but... BLOODY TOURISTS!!!! we can't even get a Sunday paper if we are not there at sparrows....I am looking forward to aquiet few weeks before school starts back up again and hope to hear from any and all.   Well, after our 113 degree day, we had one other nice day, now stuck inside because of rain..... sheese! At least its not to cold, and should clear up by manyana. We are taking down all the xmas junk today(tree's looking a bit dead). On the video review side of things, I would highly recommend Billy Connelly: Erect for 30 years. Nothing exciting happening this week but this is a good thing. The recovery phase of the holidays has begun.
