Big Thirsty Aussies

 Spring is in the air..... Ok so there is still a week yet to go , however this was our last weekend of winter and what a great one it has been (minus the flu and feeling like crap). I will take the glass being half... nay... three quarters of the way full as even though I was feeling physically sub par, the mental weekend has been brilliant. Friday Tory turned sweet sixteen: We had our last fire of the "legal" burning off period. A Sunday  on the creek in the afternnon sun is always a good thing. The low tide revealed a new crop of oysters - Karl you have to come help me eat these no one here will- just a good day on the creek: and as if that wasn't enough, the Sea Eagles, the Wallabys and the Seahorses all won their games go teams... lets hope the Dragons can round off the weekend with a victory as well (although I do not hold my breath). .......we went with good old fashioned car trouble. This past weekend saw us at Kylie and Pete's home for the celebration of his  Semicentennial or  Quinquagenary as it is more commonly known. it was a great time and pictures follow: Friday dinner at the Workers followed by an enjoyable evening (most of which I can clearly recollect). Saturday mid-morning saw us heading out for a pub/club crawl. Those more adventerous souls chose to cross on the derelict bridge whose history (some thing about playing chicken with a train, blow-up dolls...) will not appear on these pages. Then we headed up the track to our first destination.... The RMYC: followed up by the Toronto Pub: Then onto the Toronto Workers Club: A sign of age perhaps when a pub crawl consists of 3 places wherein we had 1 beer each.
