Big Thirsty Aussies

ANZACs are Australian and New Zealand Armed Corps. Their day is April25th on the anniversary of Gallipoli . The girls march with the school each year in Huskisson. I dont care what nation you are from or how you may view war(personally I find it a needless waste of life- although always will be a part of it), the respect due to any soldier in any army is unmeasurable! We have the freedoms we have today thanks to their bravery and committment. "They shall grow not old as we that are left grow old, Age shall not weary them nor the years condemn, At the going down of the sun, and in the morning WE WILL REMEMBER THEM LEST WE FORGET

Well we made it through another birthday- Sekaiya moved into double digits flawlessly.... who else was up at 5:30 making Swedish pancakes.... All else here is going well we may have had our last beach weekend, but the water is still warm, so really it depends on the air temp at this point. This is the latest we have ever been in water since living near the Bay, and the first time in years we havent had a fire/heater in March...havent needed it yet! GO global warming!!! Up the top at the local park! What does a 10 year old contemplate while swinging and looking out over the bay?

Well, yesterday we fell into the largest "Vortex of Sequence" known to mankind. What I had hoped to achieve was to plant up some tomato seedlings that have been flourishing in my kitchen window......okay so far, but I will need to get the greenhouse out of the garage first. Oh needed to patch up some tears in it first, then the spot where it needs to go for winter blocks a bit of shed door, this is okay in its own right but before we can block this we need to move wardrobe into house or we wouldnt be able to get it out, problem.... to get to wardrobe we need to clean up a bit of shed and well, we may as well put the stuff for the tip straight into the back of truck.... okay but truck is around the front of house where we parked it to load it with branches and green waste for same tip trip so we may as well do that first. Done, back to shed, load up tip stuff clear spot for wardrobe to vacate shed, hmmm while we have door opened up for wardrobe we should really move freezer in...

Easter began with a hat parade at school...to also see Kaiya's part in the festivities click here We followed our usual Easter plan and headed up the hill to Aunty Jo's place. We had a bit of a drive about on Saturday to go and visit the foal that we watched come into the world a couple of months ago, Banjo . He has grown considerably and it was good to see him Banjo Dying the eggs the baskets Although it was a rainy wet weekend it was really good(as always)and easter happened and chocolate was eaten and wombats were spotted. Now about the card game..... Sekaiya in one of her first ever solo-ish games was 109 at the turn and way ahead of the rest....could be that Mare from the U.S. she is out of!!!! Well we suffered today from chronic Autumnitis. Blue skies, mild sunshine, slight breeze.... water was a bit cool but we only got out because we weren't certain that what we saw offshore was not a shark....most likely a turtle but.....definitly not a dolphin and....Im a wimp! We are nearing our last beach days of the season soon I suppose, school holidays start after next week so we could probably get a few days in there but that will most likely wrap it all up until October or November. Still, lots of other good stuff to do around the place. Not looking forward to being cold(and those of you in the other hemisphere arent allowed to poo poo me here, as no there are no furnaces or the likes here,and you have to rely on fire/oil/gas heaters), so you have to warm up as best you can. I have harvested around 50 tomatillos and still at least 100 or more on the plants.... gonna be a good year for green chile sauce! Life goes on much as it has these past few years......
