Big Thirsty Aussies

Well hello all and good to see you. Sorry it has been so long ,pretty busy doing nothing, you know that mundane day to day stuff that keeps you busy. We did have a great visit with Jackie and Goldilo-oops I mean Barb. The girls have all grown up so nicely, another few years and they could be quite dangerous. 4-5-6 club 2001 4-5-6 club 2008 Tory and Kaiya are having great sport seasons. Tory's soccer is off to the final next week and Kaiyas netball goes to the semi finals but are most likely a shoe-in for the final. Sekaiya will be performing in Southern Stars spectacular in a few weeks which is a huge multi school dance thingo. Let's see what else... rain rain and more rain... oh yea and throw a whole h of a lot of wind in with that. Hoping to get a better garden going this year soon. The green house is up and waiting for seeds to go in trays. Come on Spring! We had our annual July Trek up the coast, which was as good as ever. Now we are truly getting into the colder weather we ventured out to a nearby farm for firewood. This is what we dubbed: "The Chimney Paddock" Sekaiya had a successful birthday-managed to make it through another year. The girls are doing really well at school and are enjoying their winter sports. Growing rapidly as well We enjoyed a great weekend at Aunty Jo's place, good card game Pauline and Colin were there to make a proper 5( I won't put a copy of score sheet here as it may not be suitable for all ages of readers). Hi to all who read of us here! Since last posting not a lot has actually happened. For which we are grateful. Yesterday saw us watching Sekaiya receive the "Youthwrite 2007" award in which she is published. Last weekends post gardening relaxation! We are slipping through what may very well be my most favourite time of year! The water is warmer than in the peak of summer, there is no Nor'easter a blowing and the beach is nearly deserted! not much to say I left all my words in the sand.......

This past week saw our numbers grow by one, as we welcomed with open arms and hearts full of love- Mojo! He is a juvenile Frill-Necked lizard. His cage mates were rather apathetic but they will come to accept him in their own time and fashion. Now back to catching up with our lives. Toryanna and Sekaiya both got off to a ripper of a start to the new school year. Our February was one of the wettest seen for ages. We recorded 292.5 ml rain on our veranda (11.5 in) This following a January fall of 107 ml (4.2in) The creek did manage to break the bank on the far side on a particularly heavy day. This made for great puddle jumping. We still managed a couple fantastic beach days as well, and Boris and girls made the best drip castle ever! Which brings us pretty much up to date with our happenings. Look to the WPHLOG in the near future as there are way to many photos to put on here so I will try to put up a lot of the better ones just for looking.

Hiya once again I will start off with a couple more pics from xmas then see where we go from there. I like the shot of the cousins. The "noses" After a couple of days at home we went up the hill to Aunty Jo's place. While there we went out to visit a great old place called Lockyersleigh. It is over 100 acres and it is 100 acres that even Pooh Bear would like. I would not recommend the hotel across from the station to my enemies I don't think. Mom got the feel for the bike as well. and a feel from a cowhand.... Aaahhhhh back to this! This was the view from most afternoon beers once back to the home front! The order of these next couple of days may be mixed up but that won't change how good they were. They were a couple of our day trips around our local area and there abouts. Woollongong where we walked along the lovely foreshor...
