Big Thirsty Aussies

Well, I will get our animal pictures out of the way early in this post. Alejandro  Alejandro now has a woman-Consuela-, but she is camera shy. We think she's a bit plain, he could do so much better. Timmy having a tipple Coolest caterpillar ever We have had our share of Australia's rain over the last couple of months. This is as high as we have seen the creek in the 4 years we have been here. Fortunately its got the bay to drain into fairly close and a fair climb to the house.  Quite muddy now from upstream, will have to leave the oysters awhile (as I am only eater of said oysters, they are usually left anyway). We are on constant alert for "bog creatures" though. What with all the rain and all, we thought, "maybe we should go camping". First choice was Pretty Beach but it was flooded so... Rain all the way down to Depot Beach on Friday arvo, it stopped long enoug...

 We were able to attend another 50th (didn't even get stranded this time- we left the tent at home) Narelle's do was great. Here was the view from our room in Manly, just a short walk up 20 flights of stairs to party. Still harvesting purple carrots and beets Not to mention old man parsnip here Had a good drive to Bendalong  about 30 minutes south of where we are and even got to have a swim- something the rain hasn't permitted much this season. The girls and I took the train to Sydney to see the Harry Potter exhibit. We met up with Kylie, Bella and Lilly. It was a really good day would do it again! The girls took along a couple of friends as well. We now have firewood for winter as we had 2 rather large trees taken out.  This of course resulted in the "Woollamia Chainsaw Massacre" Oh and more ducks A fly The Buff Banded Rail and her youngun' A new TV, girls seemed to find the box more exciting! And a little G & T on a Sunday arvo....
