Planting Tomatoes

Well, yesterday we fell into the largest "Vortex of Sequence" known to mankind. What I had hoped to achieve was to plant up some tomato seedlings that have been flourishing in my kitchen window......okay so far, but I will need to get the greenhouse out of the garage first. Oh needed to patch up some tears in it first, then the spot where it needs to go for winter blocks a bit of shed door, this is okay in its own right but before we can block this we need to move wardrobe into house or we wouldnt be able to get it out, problem.... to get to wardrobe we need to clean up a bit of shed and well, we may as well put the stuff for the tip straight into the back of truck.... okay but truck is around the front of house where we parked it to load it with branches and green waste for same tip trip so we may as well do that first. Done, back to shed, load up tip stuff clear spot for wardrobe to vacate shed, hmmm while we have door opened up for wardrobe we should really move freezer into house as well(let me explain here that our sliding door screen is usually locked shut as it is warped and doesnt open easily at all, okay a bit more clearing of space....accomplished but watering system in greenhouse needs to be revamped before we can put plants in.... gave up drank beer will plant tomatoes tommorrow!

So now we can move on to today, watering system in, tomatoes planted up(some, I need more dirt) trip to beach, sheds looking clean like it isnt ours, car is clean, house is a national disaster area but who cares and it is beer o'clock Sunday arvo.
this pic is actually last weekend but what a great Autumn day it was water was still 21 so not to bad, just a bit weedy.




I think she can pull this look off actually

We pick up in the life of our hero where we last left him. The mother Gaforady dragon is poised to dive and tear the unconscious Logorian into food for her new hatchling (the last of this regal line). Can the young prince wake and save himself? Right now where were we... ah yes July, and the winter school break.  All has been good here except the wind, and it has not been good. Indeed it has been the polar opposite of good. On the Banks of Plum Creek

Well, it was a successful fishing day. Sekaiya caught a 3 inch whiting, Tory had a good time, and I got in several hours of practise in the untangling of line, retying of hooks, and baiting of these same hooks. Upside being that it was enthusiastically enjoyed rather than the old "I'm bored, when can we go home?" so perhaps we can now do this on a more regular basis. School holidays finish with the weekend so back to the grindstone for another 9 weeks. I have a bit of work happening,hopefully I will get a bit more as well. We had our first "burning off" fire today with many more to come. Great winter sport: lighting a fire, throwing in a damper ,(we wrap ours securely in foil and cook it in ashes/coals) opening a beer and standing around, with the occassional shovel and/or raking activity taking place! There was no damper today, but hopefully with the next lot of fires. There are still a gazillion sticks to get into piles yet.
