Big Thirsty Aussies

Well we had a good trip up north- well I did anyhow being the only one to not succumb to the dreaded cold-of-the-day disease. We were kind enough to pass it along as well. Blue moon I saw you standing alone...... Butlers Road...... Near Cathy and Terry's Place View from the first beer of the day.......... Cousins Playing.............. So we all enjoyed ourselves and came home to absolutely horrible rain and had to stay inside with the heater on drinking beer all weekend. Well, the girls had a great visit with their cousins. A good time was had by all. We did the Greenfields to Hyams walk and the red weed on the beach was incredible. School reports came home this past week and although they were both fantastic, these new reports that the government has introduced are absolutely s#$!thouse! I liked the more personal approach of the old system but I guess the government chooses to get rid of any semlance of being human from all aspects of life.

In between bouts of coast slashing wind and rain, we were able to make it out for our Sunday walk-about. The pictures of the waterfall are from Yesterday on our venture out to town. It is forcast to continue raining here until next Friday and I should be well and truly sick of it by then! I already am. The combination of big seas and record tides has left not a whole lot of beach left for walking but really good viewing anyhow. Not sure where the buoy came in from we just found it near the Moona Moona creek mouth. Also found, a hat, a fishing rod, a dead shark(small type), steak knife, and a lot of kelp and good shells! All of the above had barnacles and weed growing on them so had been to sea for quite some time, weather makes for good beachcombing! Oh except the knife which was most likely a clue in a triple murder or something and now is covered with Boris's prints.....He doesn't like prison meatloaf! It has been the wettest June since 1964, with 2 weeks yet to go! Rain nrin...

A bit of Weather building up! At Dandaloo for the Queen's Birthday! We spent a very very cold weekend at Aunty Jo's up the hill. We had to sit in front of the fire, drink beer, and play cards......it's all good! Here is Smokey, the newest fixture at Dandaloo. He's very old and missing one eye..... As long as introductions are about here's Bentley- father to quite a few this year.....the old bull Roger broke his..... and has been re-zoned as hamburger its a folk eat bull world out there! It was really good to see the place so green as it was basically a dust bowl a couple of months ago. We are getting a lot of rain at the moment, and some of it is actually even falling where it is needed. We went to a bingo game (fundraiser for school) and do you know that nowhere on any card was the word BINGO.... different but fun except the bit where I didnt win anything... Kaiya won a tiny prize of lollies and coke-yeah she NEEDS more sugar!

Tory:(in a huffy voice) "The whole point of weapons, is so we can play together!" Things here are moving along at a very rapid pace! Already the end of may, holy flappin #$@!holes Batman where does the time go?!?! Tory recording at guitar lessons! Sekaiya as man of the match: All is well in the land of Oz. If I can remember how to add a music file (by which I mean if I could be bothered) I will try to get A sound bit of Tory's recording on here for all to hear. Here we are in the magical land of Oz.... life goes on things are good. I have been starting a running program called from couch to 5k.... going so good so far into week 3 and I havent died yet. I miss the days whan running was easy.....All the bike riding to school and back has helped with endurance I think. Midlife crisis you ask? could be....who knows but whatever it is sure feels good to be doing things again! Happy Mothers day to all! We had a great day here. All things have been goiog well. Tory got 14th at district cross-country in her age group and Sekaiya came 7th. Unfortunately not enough to see them to the next level but great personal efforts!!! We went for a bushwalk/hike today arond a different part of the bay and found signs of the Tsunami that came through way back when. Domino rocks we will call this one: It looks cloudy in the pic but was actually quite warm. The only reason we didnt swim was the time factor, plus I needed the toilet, B needed tissues...etc. etc. etc.. water is still warm enough though! We saw a lot of loverly flowers along the way! I am now have Tomatillos freezing, drying, and boiling....I pulled out the last plant today need to get garden ready for winter crops(I am thinking of growing some dirt!) not really a whole lot else happening here, life goes on and days go by and its all good! remember: "Don't sweat the petty stuff, and don't pet the ...
