Luke Luck licks lakes.

Well, Autumn has come crashing in upon us with no warning what-so-ever. 1st of April, bloody freezing, and the 1st fire of the year.

Please note the bike in the photo. Finally decided we needed to have bikes to ride with the girls (note that the really top market mountain bike was stolen when we were burgled several years back in Nowra). Mine is already in the garage Boris just needs to finish his up.
Ok Mike (and anyone else who doesn't know),netball is a game similar to basketball. The difference being that you have to pass. No running with ball, no dribbling, etc. There is no backboard either, just a hoop. It is also a predominately female sport. There is a much larger divide in the whole male/female sports issues here than I remember from back home. It could have been my "rose colored glasses" but I doubt it. We have been very busy here this past week. Hopefully this work will last into the next term.Boris could sure use a break though. Now on a seven day work week and tired as a ....proverbial something or other. I will have photos of the netball next week, but due to the sleet and wind this morning I was unable to operate the camera.

FYI - Noah Webster changed the spelling of many English words to make them more phonetic. His dictionary (published in 1806) became very popular during and after the War of 1812 - in which the British burnt down Washington DC. It was a period of extreme nationalism and anti-British sentiment for obvious reasons. The sentiment about multiple spelling of words by the British, even before Webster's dictionary was summed up best by Benjamin Franklin who said that he “had no use for a man with but one spelling for a word.”

I apologize for my Cliffy-ness (Cheers). It seems that's about all I get out of a history degree!
