Sunday Arvo With The Specials
Dusk On The Currambene
We had a nice trip to Canberra in the rain a couple of weeks ago.
We took the back way(shortest route), nice (wet) country roads, and only a couple of bits were scary.
Having left the tent at home though we felt fairly confident of having no mishaps.
And then spent a lovely Sunday arvo at our favourite watering hole.
Thanksgiving came a week late this year here on Saturday Dec 3 with Terry&Cathy, Aunty Jo and Eshra, big bird defrosting....
and so the season begins-YAY!
Pies cooking-yum
Ok not time to cook yet, so off we go to the tree farm for our annual -we can't make a decision -moment.
Which tree- "Over There!"
"No wait, that looks good over there"
"Ooh, but those ones are nice"
"Ok then, this one it is"
" Hang on, what about one of these"
"No, back where we started, that one has poo on it"
Yay!
Tree Deal.
We will call you "Duncan, so we can have a beer with you"
Back home to cook the bird.....
Tory, Eshra, Kaiya and the spread.
Lots of food ,lots of cards, lots of fun.
When unable to work out our quadratic equations, we had to call in the Mothamatician
This was in fact to help us work out what were trumps.

and some group shots...
Finally.... we managed to stay awake until midnight to catch the Lunar Eclipse on Sat.
We were uncertain if the clouds would go but they cleared just at the right time(really people ya gotta be lucky sometimes) and it was great to see.
We kept watch until about 1:30, but that is way to late these days.
