Big Thirsty Aussies

Well Christmas was once again a great time. We had the North Coasters come to us this year plus Emmy and Cheyenne up from south of the border. Some of Our Holiday Cheer: Christmas morning went past with much excitement and frivolity. The girls played at being violent she devils with their cousins all of whom are going to be deadly enough with their beauty as it is let alone giving them weapons! New years was a very quiet affair here and we drifted into 2010 without much ado. Kids got back to school Us back to work. Boris spent 5 weeks in Perth(2 weeks -a week at home, then 2.5 back) over the Jan Feb period working on a repair job on a yacht. Here are some pics from there. And now well now all we have is rain. We have had over 9 inches this month so far with 5 of that in this past 5 days:

Well, summer is off with a bang here. Had a great Thanksgiving dinner. Mind you, I think I need to try and celebrate this holiday in a cooler time of year. Having the oven on for 5 hours when it is 90 degrees + is a bit much. No shopping on black Friday for us, off to beach to swim with dolphins. AAAhhhh... Truly one of those "life is good" moments. Let's see, what next Ah yes that's right I got to meet Wendall(-by meet I mean he came to the school and I had a kodak moment). For those who don't know, he is a member of our local footy team- Rugby League- sort of same scale as NFL in states. They are the St George Illawarra Dragons. Next came the task of the "Christmas Tree!!" Each year we go out to the local Christmas Tree Farm to cut down a fresh one. Step 1. Finding the perfect tree. This is quite a lengthy process as the, "Hang on how about that one over there," factor is extreme. After wandering for some time we were finally able to decide...

Mojo:"It's So Hot!!!!" Ok so I haven't posted in a while...busy? not really just the day to day going on. Have been in the drink (by which I mean in the bay-swimming) 12 out of the last 14 days, summer is here-Woo Hoo! Having said that, today was so miserably stinking hot, with that horrible hot westerly wind to go with it... Can only be thankful that we had the creek to go down to later in the day. Started at beach this morning. Sorry but the most exciting thing today is that we cleaned the car.... Oh well mundane is wonderful in that we are happily floating through some great days in our lives.... "living the dream". Here are some pics. NOOOOO!!!!! Sunday afternoon at the end of holidays. NOOOOO!!!!! Back to the grindstone tomorrow. NOOOOO!!!!! Well we had a great little getaway from the day to day of our life. Sorry if the map is hard to read it is just an indicator of sorts. We do a highlighted map every time we stray from our home on a grand tour. Started on the 11th and camped two nights at Abercrombie Caves. The caves were really interesting and apparently an old bushranger gang "The Ribbon Gang" used to hide out there from the law, way back when. Although we were cold and moderately damp, it was still a great campsite with wombats nosing about after hours. Can't really get a good shot of a wombat as they are very shy.
